The Temecula Cemetery Requests to Purchase Association Land: The Riverside County Cemetery District met with the Board of Directors during the March Rancho Highlands Board of Directors Meeting. They requested to purchase the property off Preece Lane that lies between Preece and the Temecula Cemetery (Tract 21760, Lot 116). Such a purchase would require an affirmative vote of 67% of the members as well as the first Mortgagees. However, if the first Mortgagees do not respond within thirty (30) days their vote is considered an approval. We hope to acquire enough money to boost the Association’s Reserve Account, which is currently only 60% funded. This will also curtail an increase in assessments. De-annexing property can be very arduous and costly. Before commencing any costs, that includes but is not limited to, obtaining a survey and an appraisal, and retaining the association attorney to assist in all of the particulars involved in a de-annexation, the Board of Directors would like to hear from the members by means of a survey. We encourage you to attend the Rancho Highlands Board of Directors Meeting on August 20, 2009 at 7:00 PM. Cemetery District Board Members will be in attendance to field questions and to address any concerns. Below is the proposed area with current images of the area |
